No! You need neither escape room experience nor any specialist knowledge. Everything you need to solve the puzzles can be found in the game.
Curiosity, team spirit and a bit of creativity are far more important than school knowledge or a high IQ.
Our escape rooms are designed for different group sizes:
Are you a larger group? Then you can book several rooms and play in different teams.
Our tip: A smaller group often gives everyone more opportunity to discover puzzles themselves. In larger groups, it's especially important that you share your finds and ideas with each other.
Our classic escape rooms have a pure playing time of around 60 minutes. Including the briefing and debriefing, you should allow about 90 minutes in total.
PARANORMAL is a longer experience with a playing time of 120 minutes. Allow some extra time for the briefing and the wrap-up.
When planning, also factor in your journey and any other appointments you may have afterwards.
Of course! Your Gamemaster accompanies your adventure and supports you with hints whenever needed.
So you don't need to worry about being stuck on a single puzzle the whole time.
Our tip: Don't give up on a puzzle straight away. But if you notice you're going round in circles, a hint is sometimes exactly what's needed to keep the fun going.
An escape room is a shared experience, not an exam. Whether or not you complete your mission in full, what counts are the thrilling moments, the surprises and your teamwork.
Even experienced players don't crack every room on the first attempt.
The easiest way is to book your preferred time slot directly on our website. Select the room, your date and time, and the number of players.
Once your booking is complete, you'll receive a confirmation by e-mail.
Important: The booking must be made by an adult. Minors are of course welcome to take part in our games within the respective age limits.
Online, you can pay using the payment methods offered in the booking system, such as PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or girocard.
Additional players, drinks and merchandise can also be paid for cashless on site.
Please note: Cash payment is not possible at TIMEBREAK.
Yes! You can adjust the number of players even on the day of the game, as long as you stay within the permitted group size for the respective room.
If more people come along, you simply pay the price difference on site.
If fewer players turn up than originally booked, you'll receive any price difference as a voucher.
The number of rooms booked, however, remains binding. For each room booked, at least the respective two-person price is payable.
Our tip: If you're still unsure about the number of participants, it's better to book for fewer people first and add more players later.
Yes, we offer you voluntary cancellation options.
If you've booked one or two escape rooms, you can cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before the start of the game. The amount already paid will be issued to you as a voucher.
For later cancellations, we retain the respective two-person price for each cancelled room. Any amount paid beyond that will be issued as a voucher.
If you've booked three or more escape rooms, the cancellation period is 14 days. For later cancellations, the same retentions per cancelled room apply.
The number of rooms originally booked is decisive. Reducing the number of rooms afterwards does not shorten the cancellation period.
Different conditions may apply to special promotions.

Yes, a one-time free rebooking to an available alternative date is possible within the respective period.
For one or two escape rooms, this period is 72 hours before the start of the game; for three or more rooms, it's 14 days.
The regular cancellation periods apply anew to the new date.
Please contact us within the respective period if you'd like to change your date.
If only individual players can't make it, you can adjust the number of players even on the day of the game. You'll receive any price difference as a voucher. The number of rooms booked remains unchanged.
If your entire group is unable to attend, the respective cancellation and rebooking conditions apply.
Of course! With a TIMEBREAK voucher, you give the gift of a shared adventure without having to pick a date right away.
The recipients can decide for themselves later when they'd like to play and which room they'd like to use the voucher for.
Regular vouchers are valid until the end of the third calendar year following the year of purchase.
For example: A voucher purchased in 2026 can generally be redeemed until 31 December 2029.
This also applies to vouchers we issue under our voluntary cancellation conditions. In this case, the validity period begins with the year of issue.
Special redemption conditions may apply to special discount promotions; these are stated at the time of purchase. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
If the voucher value is higher than the booking price, the unused balance is retained and can be used for another booking within the validity period.
If the voucher value isn't enough, you can pay the difference using one of the payment methods offered.
As soon as you use a voucher to make a binding booking for a game slot, the redeemed amount is credited to your booking.
The same cancellation and rebooking conditions then apply to the booked date as for a payment by card or PayPal. A free exchange of the voucher amount used back into a voucher is not provided for.
Statutory rights of withdrawal and refund remain unaffected.

Please arrive on time for your booked start time.
There's no need to arrive early. Your Gamemaster may still be looking after the previous group and therefore not yet be able to welcome you.
Nevertheless, allow enough time for your journey so you can start relaxed and on time.
Since our games have fixed start times and the rooms then need to be prepared for the next groups, we can't push back late starts at will.
Depending on how late you are, your available playing time may be shortened or, unfortunately, it may no longer be possible to start the game.
If you realise you're running late, please give us a call.

PARANORMAL takes place at our separate location OMEGA / Phantom's Retreat, Am Boeselagerhof 15 Ω, 53111 Bonn.
The two locations are only a few minutes' walk from each other.
Important: Before you set off, check the address of your booked game in the booking confirmation so you end up at the right location straight away.
The public Operngarage Bonn car park is right nearby, with entrances via Brassertufer and Am Boeselagerhof.
Alternatively, you can use the Stiftsgarage car park at Kölnstraße 10–16.
Please allow enough time to find a parking space and walk from the car park to your game.
You don't need any special equipment. Comfortable clothes and shoes you can move around in easily are ideal.
For Temple Hunter, we recommend clothing that can cope with a bit of dust or sand. Some crawling is also required in parts of this room.
You don't need to bring your own tools or aids. Everything you need for your mission is part of the game.
Mobile phones are generally not permitted during the game. Taking photos, filming and looking up solutions are also prohibited.
If you need to remain reachable for an important reason, for example because you're on call or responsible for childcare, please speak to us before the game starts.
In justified cases, we can arrange an exception.
You can buy drinks on site at TIMEBREAK.
Bringing your own food and drinks into our premises is generally not permitted. For individually arranged events or special needs, exceptions can be agreed in advance.
A drink before the game isn't strictly forbidden. What matters is that you can take part in the experience safely and don't disturb other guests.
Heavily intoxicated persons or participants whose behaviour endangers safety or the running of the game may be excluded from playing.
That depends on the escape room you choose.
Illuminati and Yarrum's Magic Hut: Ages 12 and up without an accompanying adult. Children aged 9 and up may play when accompanied by an adult.
Temple Hunter and Ancum – The Great: Ages 14 and up without an accompanying adult. Children aged 12 and up may take part when accompanied by an adult.
PARANORMAL: Ages 16 and up. Age checks are carried out here.

Yes! Our escape rooms can also be played in English.
Pay attention to the desired game language when booking, and feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Our escape rooms are not fully accessible. However, the physical requirements vary from game to game.
Some rooms have fewer barriers than others and, under certain conditions, can be played with a sports wheelchair, for example.
If you use a wheelchair or have special requirements, please contact us before booking. Together we can discuss which room is suitable for your group.
Depending on the escape room, there may be darkness, confined spaces, fog, loud noises, lighting effects or jump scares.
If, for example, you're sensitive to strobe lighting, suffer from claustrophobia or have certain physical limitations, please read the information on the respective room before booking.
The health warnings for PARANORMAL in particular must be observed. Ancum – The Great is also not suitable for people with pacemakers.
Our tip: You don't need to tell us any diagnoses. Simply describe which effects or movements are a problem for you. Then we can advise you more specifically.
Your safety always comes first. Let your Gamemaster know immediately if someone gets scared, feels physically unwell or wants to stop the game.
Before the game starts, we'll explain the most important safety rules and how to react if necessary.
Nobody should feel forced to continue a game despite feeling seriously unwell.
As a rule, pets cannot be brought into our escape rooms.
Legally recognised assistance dogs are covered by the statutory rights of access. Please speak to us in advance if possible, so we can discuss the specific circumstances and possible solutions together.
PARANORMAL is an intense horror experience with live actors, darkness, loud noises and powerful special effects. It differs significantly from our classic escape rooms.
The minimum age is 16. Proof of age will be checked.
Due to the effects used, the game is not suitable for people with epilepsy or pacemakers, or during pregnancy, among others. Please read the detailed warnings on the game page.
Our tip: It's best to use the toilet once more before your slot. No toilet is available during the experience.
If you urgently need a toilet, please be sure to let your Gamemaster know before entering the location.
Yes! Separate spectator tickets are available for PARANORMAL. With these, you can follow the mission from the control centre without taking part as a ghost hunter yourself.
Spectator tickets are available for ages 16 and up, limited to a maximum of two seats per slot, and must be purchased in addition to a booked game slot.
Absolutely! For companies, school classes, birthdays and other groups, we can organise several escape rooms and individual events.

In our TeamBattle GameShow, you compete against each other in a variety of challenges. Instead of solving a single escape room together, you collect points for your team in different games and competitions.
The focus is on fun, skill, communication and team spirit.
The format is particularly suitable for corporate events, birthdays and groups who want to share an experience and compete with each other in a playful way.
We distinguish between two group sizes:
For small Team Battles, at least the price for eight people is charged. For large Team Battles, a binding base price for 15 people applies.
Even if fewer guests take part at short notice, the respective minimum price still applies.
Yes! For Team Battles too, you can adjust the number of participants on the day of the event.
For small Team Battles, the number of participants can be reduced to as few as eight people; for large Team Battles, to as few as 15 people.
You'll receive any price difference above the respective minimum price as a voucher.
Additional participants can be added subject to available capacity. If a small Team Battle is to be expanded to 15 or more people, prior agreement with TIMEBREAK is required.
The cancellation period depends on the group size originally booked.
Small Team Battles with 8 to 14 people: Up to 72 hours before the start of the event, you can cancel free of charge and receive a voucher.
Large Team Battles with 15 people or more: Here the regular cancellation period is 14 days.
For cancellations after the respective period has expired, a cancellation fee of 50% of the agreed Team Battle event price is charged. Any amount already paid beyond that will be issued as a voucher.
Separately booked catering is not part of the 50% cancellation fee and is subject to its own conditions.
The original group size determines the cancellation period. For example, if a Team Battle was booked for 18 people and only 12 people end up taking part, the 14-day period still applies.
A one-time free rebooking to an available alternative date is also possible within the respective period. The cancellation conditions apply anew to the new date.
Yes, additional catering options can be organised for Team Battles and individually arranged events.
Please discuss your wishes with us early on so we can coordinate the options and conditions.
Additionally booked catering can generally be cancelled or adjusted free of charge up to 14 days before the event. After that, the agreed catering conditions apply, or the actual, necessary and unavoidable costs incurred by the catering provider.
